ShoreDog Café announces that Chef Bill Foster has joined as head chef to further expand ShoreDog Café’s upscale New American dinner offerings with an emphasis on seafood, farm-to-table, and charcuterie. He was formerly a chef at such legendary Richmond restaurants as:

• Frog & the Redneck: Sous Chef
• Acacia: Chef de Cuisine
• Café Zed: Executive Chef (2008 Top New Restaurant, Richmond Magazine)

Chef Foster is an honors graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and has over twenty years experience in the Richmond area. He introduced the Farm-to-Table concept to Richmond and has been written up by Richmond Magazine for “best new restaurants” in Richmond.

The past year, Chef Foster was in Europe honing his charcuterie skills, “picking olives in the morning and making specialty hams at night." According to Chef Foster, “my passion is creative food and ShoreDog Café’s culinary direction enables me to continue progressing my culinary skillset while immediately = bringing my knowledge to help ShoreDog Café expand on its vision of fine dining in Richmond’s West End. Stay tuned for exciting menu changes.”

ShoreDog Café owner Gibbs Moody said that “Bill has phenomenal culinary ability along with the leadership and organizational skill that truly defines a chef. Our team are very excited to have attracted him. We are thrilled to have Bill’s special combination of talent and passion to take us to an even higher level of fine dining.”
